Jembrana is the landing point for travelers by sea from Java Island. This is
the least densely populated area of Bali and least visited by tourists. This
means that tourist facilities are less developed here than elsewhere, but this
is great place to get off the beaten tourist track. The most exciting event in
Jembrana is the traditional buffalo race. Usually held between August and
West Bali National Park.
West Bali National Park is covering more than 76,000 hectares, situated in
two regencies : Jembrana and Buleleng. Visit this place if you're looking for
pristine tropical nature. The national park contains a broad range of natural
environment, from mangrove coastal forests to savanna and rainforest shelters.
Gilimanuk beaches are truly pristine, and there is a wide range of them
: coral beaches, white and black sand beaches, and mangrove forest.
