Borneo and Dayak Tribes Itinerary

Day 01 :  Arrive Jakarta or Bali. Meet and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 :
Transfer to the airport for flight to Pangkalan Bun. Transfer to Kumai and boating to Tanjng Puting National Park.
Day 03-04 :
Meet the orangutans at Camp Leakey, Tanjung Harapan and Pondok Tanguy. Afternoon transfer to Pangkalan Bun town.
Day 05 :
By speedboat we penetrate the interior of Central Kalimantan to Tapinbini Dayak Village deeper in the north. Trekking the scared Bolao Hill.
Day 06 :
By long boat cruise up the stream to Kinipan village through the rain forest, traditional village.
Day 07 :
Trekking through the thick rain forest and hills to meet the nomadic dayak in their traditional plantation out of the jungle. Overnight in shelters.
Day 08 :
Full day exploring the land of the nomadic Dayak in searching for wildlife and the exotic fauna.
Day 09 :
Return to Tapinbini Village. Overnight at villagerís house.
Day 10 :
Direct to Pangkalan Bun by the speedboat. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 :
Leave Pangkalan Bun for return to Jakarta or Bali.
Day 12
: Transfer to the airport for flight to next destination or extend with other trips.

Mighty Mahakam River Adventure

Day 01 : Arrive Jakarta or Bali. Meet and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 :
Transfer to the airport for flight to Balikpapan. Transfer to Loa Janan for the Mahakam River Cruise.
Day 03 :
Stop at Muara Mancong for traditional dance performance, boat trip on Jempang Lake and passing the Ohong River to watch the wildlife. Proceed to Melak.
Day 04 :
Visit the long house in Banuaq, trekking in the jungle for wildlife and exotic fauna especially the rare black orchids.
Day 05 :
Visit the Sultan (Malayan King) royal cemetery and museums. Return to Balikpapan. Overnight in hotel.
Day 06 :
Transfer to the airport for flight back to Jakarta or Bali. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 :
Transfer to the airport for flight to next destination or extend with other trips.

Cross Borneo West to East

Challenging Level : 20 Days trip, 8 days challenging trek, 6 days  river journey
DAY 01: JAKARTA ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Jakarta Airport, meet and transfer to Ibis Tamarin Hotel (3*), nearby the shopping, business and entertainment centers in Central Jakarta. Rest of the day is free with dinner in personal account.
DAY 02: JAKARTA - BALIKPAPAN - SAMARINDA
Morning after breakfast, transfer to the Jakarta Airport for Garuda Flight GA 512 departure at 10.35AM to Balikpapan, the capital city of East Kalimantan Province. From Balikpapan continue drive for about 2 hours from Samarinda for your accommodation at a good hotel. Dinner on personal expenses. In Samarinda you can make a final preparation before having the next challenging days. (B, L)
DAY 03 - 05: SAMARINDA - LOA JANAN - LONG BAGUN
After breakfast boarding on the public boat for a three days Mahakam River cruise toward the west passing through some Dayak Villages such as  Kota Bangun, Muara Muntai, Datah Bilang and ending at Long Bagun.Standard meals and overnight on boat. Long Bagun is the last point reachable by the river boat. From here the expedition will be continued by motorized long boats, canoes or trekking. (B, L, D)
DAY 06: LONG BAGUN - RAPIDS - LONG LUNUK - TIONG OHANG
After simple breakfast full day trip by long boat cruise up Mahakam River through some amazing rapids and where you will see beautiful views along boat side of the river. Meals provided en route & overnight at a long house in a village at the river side. (B, L, D)
DAY 07 - DAY 14: TIONG OHANG - LONG APARI - TANJUNG LOKAN
After simple breakfast continue the trip by motorized canoe proceed to starting trekking point. Everyday we trek approximately 3 - 5 hours through primary rain forest & Muller Mountain where we will enjoy the beautiful views, fishing, experiencing the jungle, encounter many difficult rapids, and crossing  the borderline of the East and Central Kalimantan, a tangled jungle plateau 780 meter high between Long Apari (East) and Tanjung Lokan (West). The areas between the borders of three Kalimantan Provinces (East, Central and West Kalimantan) is the most isolated and the most traditional settlements of the Dayak Tribe where you can find the original art and cultures as well as real stuffs from their head hunting age. Meals provided enroute  and overnight at jungle camp or the villagers house with basic fasilities. (B, L, D)
DAY 15: TANJUNG LOKAN - PUTUSIBAU
In the morning after breakfast, full day trip down streams on Bongan River and Kapuas River by long boat proceed  to Putusibau. Enroute you will pass big rapids. Meals provided enroute & overnight at long house.  (B, L, D)
DAY 16: PUTUSIBAU - SINTANG
Morning after breakfast, by bus drive to Sintang. Meals provided enroute & overnight at a simple hotel (losmen)  in Sintang. (B, L, D)
DAY 17: SINTANG - PONTIANAK
Morning after breakfast take a car to cover a 385 km road inland to Pontianak for about 9 hours. There are things to see enroute and we will stop for refreshment  and lunch at local restaurant. Arrive Pontianak in the late  afternoon. Check in a good and comfortable hotel in Pontianak for our accommodation. Dinner on personal expenses. (B, L)
DAY 18: PONTIANAK - JAKARTA
Free at leisure until departure time of you flight back to Jakarta. In Jakarta you will be transferred  to the hotel for your accommodation. Dinner on personal expenses. (B)
DAY 19: JAKARTA FREE DAY
An absolutely free full day  where you rest at the hotel or take a tour on our own way around Jakarta. (B).
DAY 20: JAKARTA  DEPARTURE
Morning after breakfast free program. At the appropriate time, transfer to the Jakarta airport for homeward flight bound. TOUR END. (B)
