The regency of Badung is located in the southernmost part of Bali island.
This regency is the most heavily populated area of the island. The
island's capital and metropolis, Denpasar and Bali's world-famous beach
resorts located here.
The most interesting feature of
Denpasar is its combination of tradition with modernity. To see the old city,
take a drive around the old village of Kedaton, Sumerta, Tonja and
especially Kesiman, whose brick-style shrines and gates are the simplest yet
most beautiful in Bali. There are several place of interest : Pura Maospahit ,the most ancient, right in the middle of the city on the road to Tabanan,
marvel of brick architecture; Pura Kesiman, with its beautiful split gate;
Pura Satria, with its lively bird market; Pura Nambang Badung; Pura Jagatnatha, representing the modern tradition, also worth to visit,
right on the central square of the city next to the museum;

compound; Pemecutan Palace, has been transformed into a hotel; Kesiman Palace, a private mansion, houses the most elaborate family temple;
Bali Museum; on Taman Puputan
square, right next to Jagatnatha temple. It has the finest collection of
Sanur is famous throughout Bali for its sorcery. Its thirty minute drive from Kuta and
is very popular with water sports enthusiasts and families as the beach is
protected by a reef and the lagoon offers safe swimming all year round.

As a the traditional starting point for travelers an being the center of
tourist activity, Kuta is claim to famous much to its white clean sandy beach and the magnificent
sunset. It has earned a reputation as a beach paradise, attracting surfers
and swimmers. There
is a great selection of restaurants and bars and whether it be day or
night you will always find something to see and do in Kuta. The nightlife
is many and varied and goes on long into the night. The wide variety and number of shops and street vendors selling rattan bags,
batik shirts and a range of other interesting..
Legian is just north of Kuta and it is a
little more laid back. The shopping, restaurants and nightlife are still
excellent and plentiful and you can spend hours enjoying the walks amongst
Legian's small intimate streets. The beach offers excellent surfing.
Legian is a favourite of many past visitors and a popular alternative to
Tuban is just a short walk south of Kuta
and offers a far quieter location yet you still have easy walking access
to the thriving area of Kuta. The wide selection of quality hotels offer
great value and give this region real appeal. Children and families are
well catered for and Waterbom Park offers a great day out. Tuban is one of Bali's biggest retail shopping areas and it is
just steps away from most of the hotels.

from all over the world. Most hotels are first class and above, and the
facilities that they all offer for both individuals as well as families make

private beaches with tranquil and clean water. The beach at Nusa Dua is
sheltered by coral reef, creating an ideal family beach.

The famous Pura Luhur Uluwatu which has some of the most equisite
architecture in Bali. This temple was rebuilt in the 16th century. The carvings
made in the unusually hard coral stone have withstood time well.
